    Hi,

you should confirm if you webservice when download the file it´s a base64 file. Exist a command "convert base64 to file", with this you can convert the file.

Although, I can convert base64 to file, but actually the file itself is not an image, and I want to validate this file, whether its a valid image file or not

Why would your web service return an invalid file? It should generally be valid, but your flow that downloads it might be broken. You may need to look into that, instead of trying to validate the file after downloading it.
