Hi Everyone,

I am quite new to Power automate and AI builder. I am trying to implement a solution where when there is new yammer post( which contains  in the group I will extract date and created a new calender event in Sharepoint Calendar where we keep down time planning. Is there any idea or example how can I do this?

Thank you for your time and help!

Hi @choco_pop - this is a great use case for AI Builder and Power Automate!

With AI Builder Entity Extraction you should be able to achieve this. Below you can see an example flow on how to achieve this:

    • I've used as an example message in a Yammer post: The Contoso account payment is due April 1, 2022.
    • AI Builder entity extraction is then able to extract April 1, 2022 as a date.
    • On the 'Create Event' action, I use the following expression to convert the extracted date to datetime format expected by the action:  parseDateTime(variables('Extracted date'))

I hope this helps get you started on this automation journey! 🙂

    Hi @JoeF-MSFT ,

Thank you for your help. But I am currently having issues while trying to create a calendar event on SharePoint. I did the same way you showed. It extracts all the necessary information but while passing that info to create a calendar even it gives ISO string error.

Hi @choco_pop - let's try to get the issue resolved. 🙂

If you look at the flow run - what value is displayed for the ExtractedDate variable?
