Getting Error while running picture by picture in desktop power automate flow

I am trying out a trial subscription for premium and am testing out picture in picture functionality. It seems to work in that it pulls up a separate window in the background. However, when trying to run a desktop flow, the flow doesn't seem to start and give the attached error message saying, "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." Since I am working on my corporate computer, am thinking that my IT department may need to update my settings.

Has anyone else ran into this issue and know what to do? If I can get picture in picture (PIP)to work, that would be a game changer!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Kanthraj106 ,

This error message usually appears when you don’t have the necessary permissions to access a specific device, path, or file. Here are a few things you could try:

    1. Check your permissions: Make sure you have the necessary permissions to access the device, path, or file. If you’re using a corporate computer, you might need to contact your IT department to update your settings.
    2. Check your Windows policies: The user running flows in PIP should be part of the following Windows policies:
    • Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment\Allow Log On Locally
    • Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment\Access this computer from the network

(Note:- if you got your solution you can mark as solution and gives kudos)

    Thanks & Regards

    Vishnu Reddy
