Can't get conditional to work

Hi I created a Form that adds the answers to the form into an excel file.

I would like a notification to be sent to two different people based on the answer (using dynamic content) from either the Form or from the Excel row that the answer gets recorded onto, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like.

Right now I'm just sending emails to myself with different subjects depending on if the condition is met or not.Automate.PNG

    Hi!

" it doesn't seem to be working."

So what's the problem? Are you receiving no email? Is the condition not working properly, so no matter the input it evaluates always to false?

    Thanx!

@efialttes  The condition isn't working properly.

It always comes back as false.

    Hi again!

    Two suggestions:

-in your condition try to remove 'equals' operator and use 'contains' instead

-if it does not work, then add a Compose action block just before your condition, assign as its value the same Dynamic content you are using in the condition. Reexecute the flow, inspect and share Compose content

    Hope this helps

@efialttes I changed it to contains and the condition still failed.

    failed test 1.PNG

I then added the Compose action block and put 'outputs' from the Compose action block as the value that should be contained in the condition.

    adding compose.PNG

And it looks like it came back as true, but it comes back as true if I choose either of the two options in the Form.

    output success.PNG

I then re-read what you said about assigning it's value as the same dynamic content and so now it looks like this:

    condition set.PNG

    And it worked! Thank you!

    IT WORKS!

Thanx for marking this topic as "Solved" by clicking "Accept as a solution". This way other community members facing this same problem in the future have the chance to find a solution faster.

Next steps? My humble suggestion (OPTIONAL) Click on 'Thumbs up' in any answer you found valuable.

Even though this 3rd step is OPTIONAL, please remember it is the cheapest, easiest way to say thanks to somebody that simply tried to help. And just between you and me, everytime an inspiring answer receive a kudo, an ewok escapes from The Emperor menace  😉

Thanx for your contribution to keep this community great!
