Use Dataverse API to Add Machine to Machine Group

Has anyone had success using the Dataverse API to add a machine to a machine group?

I found the bounded action "LeaveGroup" on the FlowMachines table to remove a machine from a machine group but can't find a way to add the machine back using the Dataverse API.

    HI,

I am a little confused, you asked for how to remove it, then stated you removed it but cannot find a way to add it back.

Which are you trying to do, remove or add?

    Cheers

Hi Mike - I've reviewed this page and there is no information about adding a machine to a machine group.

    HI,

While I haven't done it myself this way, looking at the attributes and APIS etc. you should be able to update the FlowMachineGroupId column to be whatever FlowMachineGroup you want by updating the one you are referring to, which since these are just rows in a table, you should be able to retrieve it easy enough.

These are all marked as writeable . The leavegroup thing was just a .... overlay on these values.

Hi Mike - I've attempted updating the FlowMachineGroupId property with the FlowMachineGroupId but that does not work. This is the error that is returned.

    { "error": { "code": "0x80060888", "message": "URL was not parsed due to an ODataUnrecognizedPathException. Resource not found for the segment provided in the URL." } }

    Hi

Silly question, but why not just use the Update Row in the Table, or is this some other Dataverse? and not the current(local one)?

Id have to see everything you typed in and try it myself.

Hi Mike - Updating the row is what I am doing. This is what I am passing to the connector. The FlowMachineId & FlowMachineGroupId are replaced with dummy values in this screenshot.

    Hi @slypdog93

The Flow Machine Group(Flow Machine Group), appears to be a lookup, not simply a GUID, so you would need to use the proper syntax which is:

    /plural_name_of_look_up_table(GUIDOFROW)

an example would be the Contact table, if you wanted to set the contact lookup value on an address table.

in the box you would you type
    /contacts/(GUID)

In your case you need to go look at the flow machine group table, and get the plural name, which is almost 100% of the time just the name with an s on the end and type that.
Then use the GUID of the row you want to associate the machine too

So find the proper row GUID(ID) in the flow machien groups table, then set the lookup here to that guid and bingo.
