ReportReport

Hello,

I am working on a project where I receive reports (excel) from email on a daily basis. This is the flow:

1. Receive Email w/ attachment

2. Download Attachment

3. Open File

4. Add Headers and Save file

5. Upload to SP

I managed to do until step 2 only.  My current issue is how can I open the file and add headers then save and upload. Also I need to make sure that I only do this on the file that I just received on email. Thanks in Advance

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @julian1994acuna

The steps you can follow are as below:

If you are using Outlook action to save the message then there is an option to select the folder to save

As you are daily getting the email, I suggest you to create a folder of Let's say Mails again In this folder you can create a date folder if you are running the automation daily once only.

So, before creating the folder you add another step of checkpoint that the folder is already exist means don't create the folder rather use the folder to save the file

Once that done, you can save the path of the file and filename to open the file and do your manipulations

For adding headers, I suggest you to add in Datatable and write that manipulated data back to a new excel and send that for uploading.

For upload to SP, you might require a premium connector, but this involves cost

    Hope this may help you
