Can you delete a shared flow template

I'm fairly new to Power Automate, and I have to say: I hate it!

So here's my latest annoyance.

When I "Send a copy" of a flow to someone else, the other user can find it in Templates > Shared with me.

But what if the other user wanted to delete that template, for instance if a better template has been created and the old one should not be used anymore.

So there's no Delete option, not even a three dot options menu.

Is this possible? Or is this again one of Power Automate's shortcomings?

I'm pretty good at Google searching, but there's nothing to be found on the subject.

(B.t.w. even the labelling on this forum is in line with the Power Automate logic. I found no relevant Label, so I chose Solutions)

    Hey @rboterenbrood

If you share your flow to someone, then if the person deletes the flow. It gets deleted.

    Hello @Sundeep_Malik

    Thanks for your reply.

I saw my post was ambiguous. "Share a copy" does not exist, it's "Share" or "Send a copy".

What I meant was "Send a copy". With Share, there's no template created.

    I edited my post.

    For anyone still wondering...

This had me flummoxed at first as well. If you go to the Templates tab, then Shared with Me, find the template you sent to the other person and click on it as though you were going to create a new copy. From there, as the creator you should have the option to delete it.

Give Power Automate a chance. I hated it at first too but it just needs some patience, kind words, and a little understanding.  😃

    Thank you for your answer.
I now see that that's indeed how it works.

Still I don't like that, though.
If I share a template with 10 people, they all see the template. If one  of them doesn't want the template, the only thing I can do is delete the template for all 10 people and then share again with the remaining 9.
I fail to see the logic here, as I still have a lot with Power Automate...

Actually, I have another issue here:

Yes, if you click on the template, it stops at the step where you have to check connection references. In there, you can find the delete button.

What I am stuck with now is a template that I shared that has NO connection references. So when I click on the template to open it and delete it, it does not stop at this point and goes directly into editing the flow.

Also, I cannot just manually add connections to the template because IT IS a template - adding connections does not change the template.

    Any ideas here? 🙂

    Thanks!
