Hi,

I am trying to create a flow that will give a daily email at the end of the day with who modified a specific file during that 24 hour day. If you could explain how to do this that would be great because every time I try to create this it gives me the wrong kind of email or errors. I am really struggling with this so if you could help me that would be great.

    Hi @nathanbrey1 ,

As the SharePoint "Modified By" will only show the user who make the latest change. There are two potential solutions for your reference, I will help to complete it depends on your choice.

    1. Trigger a flow every time when the file get modified and send an email for notifications.

    2. Trigger a flow every time when the file get modified and record it to a list. Trigger another flow daily to send an email for notifications and clear the list.

Hi! Thanks for the reply, the second option would be best. Can you explain how I can set that up?

    Hi @nathanbrey1 ,

First you need to put the file in a separate folder, which means there should be only one file in that folder. Pre-create a list to store modification records.

Next we build first flow to record each time modification into a SPO list:

Then we will create a schedule flow to send the modification list via email:

    Hi @v-wenjuan-msft

I am just trying to complete this and I am running into an issue on the second part. I did the first part go to add second step and then run into problems. When selecting list name there is no list name unlike the library name in the previous step. If i just input a name into the List Name that I come up with there is not the same options you can see like A and B. Again thank you for all your help. I attached two pictures to show you the problem I am running into.

    Hi @nathanbrey1 ,

Here are some potential solutions for your reference:

    1. Are you sure you pick the right site where the newly created list exists?

    2. Check connection to ensure you have access to visit the list.

    3. Try to remove the action "Create item" and add a new one.

    4. Just create a new list in that site again for test.

If none of above works, find your list ID like this.

Hi @v-wenjuan-msft I am running into a few more issues. I got an email saying my flow failed. Maybe you can help? I created an empty list called Updates you can see in the create item and then have the create item flow step linked to an empty table on that list file. I am not sure why I keep running into these issues. Please give some help

    Hi @nathanbrey1 ,

According to your screenshot I cannot figure out where the issue happen.

Would you please open one of the failed flow run history and let me see at which step does the flow fail and what's the error message?
