Create .ICS file for submitted SharePoint Calendar entry

Hello everyone!

Here is my scenario:

Users will have access to a SharePoint Calendar where they can submit requests to work overtime. For example, if Joe submits a calendar entry (3/13/2020 1:00 PM to 3/13/2020 4:00PM), I would like the user to receive via attachment or URL of an .ics file that displays name of their entry with the correct timeframe for them to add to their own Outlook Calendar. I've seen alot of tutorials on this, but the .ics files always display today's date and a random timeframe instead of the submitted date on the calendar.

    Hi @lparkerMDVIP

Instead of the ICS file, you can create a flow with the trigger when an item is created and then manually type in the name of the calendar list after appropriately selecting the site. And then get item and then same as the trigger, manually type in the calendar list name after appropriately selecting the site. Then select ID from the dynamic content. You can then create an event and add that person as an attendee and provide the time as entered by them on the calendar list.

    Hope this Helps!
