Extracting and splitting Email Subject

Hi, I am receiving emails with the Subject containing: name, address, subject and reference all split by an - and the reference is encased in [].  I need to split this into separate cells within excel when running the flow.   The body of the email also contains the persons email address, but I need flows to be able to pick up where this is and put this in excel.  Also look for a phone number if there is one and enter that into excel.

    Hi @Cgasedward,

If the structure of the subject doesn't change you could use the split function to separate the different fields from the subject variable generated by the trigger (When new email arrives). To extract email addresses and phone numbers from the message body I would recommend using a regular expression activity.

I hope this gives some direction

Thank you MaleselaR, I will give it a go.  I am very new to Power Automate, so it might take me a little while.

    Hello @Cgasedward ,

there're three expressions you could use to extract the information, slice(...), substring(...) and split(...), I believe this article might help you with the task.

Thank you so much.  I will look into that this evening.
