Pre-filled Name field not submitting

Hi all,

I'm hoping this is a simple fix that my swamp brain can't see at the moment.

I have an app with a form that on submit of the form puts all of the entered data into a SharePoint list. Previously the Name filed was filled out by the user but the client has asked that this field be pre-filled with the current users identity (their account name).

On clicking the submit button with all required fields filled in I am receiving the error "Name: Field 'Name' is required" even though the textbox in question has a name in it.

What could be causing this error? (screenshot for context, field in question circled in red)

What is the Update property of the Name datacard?

Then it should be providing the value needed to fulfill the requirements.

Check if the column is required in your list settings.

If all checks out, you might need to remove the Name field from your form and add it back in. Sometimes the Forms get a little confused, especially if you have made any changes to the underlying list.
