Hello All,
I am building a custom SharePoint form in PowerApps. This has been working quite well for me until now. I am attempting to have a date picker reset another data card based on the OnChange property. I have tried both by simply using the Reset function in that OnChange property and also trying to set a variable that will shift the Reset property of the secondary field to "true" and back to false (thanks Reza Dorrani!). These work perfectly inside the PowerApps canvas but once I publish to the Sharepoint list, they don't work. I can't for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong.
Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?
Rgds,
Rob
Ensure that you are using the latest version of PowerApps. Sometimes, issues can be related to bugs in specific versions, and updating might resolve them.and
Clear your browser cache and try accessing the SharePoint list again. Sometimes, cached resources can lead to unexpected behavior.
Hi Shaheer,
I am using the "recommended" version for my environment. (3.23122.17).
Regarding the browser cache. I am aware of this issue and have cleared the cache with no change to this behavior.
Ok,
One update here. I have confirmed that the OnChange trigger is firing in my form. However, it is returning the value to the present list value and not default value.
Let me briefly explain what I am trying to accomplish. I have created a form to track test dates and sequential test numbers with another pass/fail field. What I'd like to do is to tie the OnChange trigger to the property of the "test no." and "pass/fail" fields. For example, initially, test date might be 1/1/2024 for test no. 1 that has "passed". If the user needs to administer another test, they would first put in the date of the new test and I would like the form to then clear out the test no and pass/fail fields to accept the new data. As of now, this onchange trigger will just bring any values in these fields back to the SharePoint list present values so it appears nothing is changing.
Can I force the form to clear these fields rather than to Reset back to the SharePoint list values so the user can add the new data?
