created by name in new entry form

hello...

i´m not able the insert the created by value in the new entry form with json.

is there a way or is it not possible?

The Created By column will automatically be populated by SharePoint and you can't override that. You would need an additional column if the name you want in there is not the one who created the item.

i know that created by and modified by are default columns in sharepoint. to show the value in the view or in columns no problem. but how can i do that in a form? if i make a new column and choose calculated (based on other columns) there is no way to select created by....

@Kuno66 It's not possible because at the time you are entering the details in the new item form it doesn't know what the created by value is. It doesn't load the current user info dynamically on the new form.

ok. but how about the saved form? the value from the creator is saved but still i can´t show the value in the form with json.

i tried with author and created by. but no result in the body field.
the form is saved and the created by value visible in the column.

I think you cannot add the Created/Created By/Modified/Modified By/ID fields to list forms using SharePoint out of the box capabilities.

You need to edit the list form using Power Apps to add such fields on list forms.
