List Rows Present in a Table Filter Query is not working on TOTAL ROW?

Hi

I've just realised why a flow of mine keeps failing. I am using the LIST ROWS PRESENT IN A TABLE using an ODATA filter of <COLUMNNAME ne ''> to only list the rows which aren't blank.

However, I just noticed that even when every row is blank, the final TOTAL ROW is still be listed? Is there a way to stop this please? The COLUMN is blank, but for some reason the TOTAL ROW is not passing the filter?

Many thanks!

change the definition/range of your table to exclude the Totals row.

The range is always changing due to rows being added and removed. How do I exclude the TOTALS ROW?

Open the Excel file, click on the table, Table tools, change data range.

tools > data range doesn’t exist. I have convert to range, remove duplicates and summarise with pivot table?

Are you able to uncheck the "Total Row" box in your Excel sheet under the Table Design tab? (You have to click into the table for the tab to appear.)

Yes I’ve done that but obviously this then removes the total row altogether. It woood be nice to be able to keep it in the table. Many thanks.

Does the first column of your Excel table have a total type in the last row? Or does it just say "Total"?

You could add an additional filter on that first column to say something like AND FirstColumn ne 'Total'

Would that work for you? I don't have the exact filter language, but you get the idea.

sorry, the setting is called "resize table".

probably not a good idea when you want to access the data programmatically.

Thanks. Just a pity that you can’t filter out the totals row? The row is blank but the filter doesn’t seem to work with the total row?
