How to update a SharePoint entry with PowerApp

Hi together,

I have a Sharepoint List which is fed by a PowerApp Form.

The detail view actually looks like this:

And I want the users be able to change the items when opening the details. But actually that doesn`t work.

If I change anything, nothing happens.

    Hello Iven,
is this an app automatically generated by Powerapps? Then there is also an Edit View where the changes can be made.

Do you work with forms or with single labels and patch it into the sharepoint list by yourself?

@IvenSch : Is this a standalone Canvas App or a sharepoint customized Form?

So, the "input" to the Sharepoint list comes from a standalone Canvas app. The details are  - in my opinion - a Sharepoint customized form.

    @IvenSch

If you modify anything in a SharePoint integrated form, you need to click the Save button that appears in the top toolbar. Alternatively, you can add your own Save button to the screen and set the OnSelect property to:

    SubmitForm(Form1)

@IvenSch so when you view/edit the item in Sharepoint the side panel opens with the the form you have posted here and the item gets loaded/displayed in the Form?

What happens if you click the save button?

Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

So, the form opens like this:

And I can also Change and Save after any change as e.g. here (changed Approval status):

But nothing changes in the Sharepoint list. Approval status is still empty.

@IvenSch : What happens if you change the Title of the item, save your changes and open the item again.

Have you tried to refresh your SharePoint page? Maybe it still shows chached values.

I tried that as well. But as soon as I refresh the page, the field is empty again. Either in the form or in SharePoint

@IvenSch Could you provide a screenshot showing the details as below:

Select SharePointIntegration control from the treeview and select the OnSave property.

For me it looks like you have changed the "Auto created" Form and added a new one but the OnSave still points to the old Form.

Please also post a screenshot or paste the code which is used in the OnSuccess property of the form.

    OnSave is empty...

    OnSuccess is false
