Hi,

I am hoping someone has a solution to a problem I have been having. I have set up a PowerApp that allows users to submit data. The form is in the shape of a gallery with choice fields.

The problem I am having is after a user has selected the choice from the field it is resetting the choice field back to the default value. It is still saving the data to my data source which is a sharepoint list but it's resetting the choice fields.

Does anyone know how I can make it stop resetting the fields and simply show whatever value is selected in the sharepoint list please?

Hi @Abzyb ,
That is the natural behaviour of a gallery if any code is run from inside it - any "unbound" fields will reset to Default. You need to also save the drop-down value to a field in the gallery data source each time you change it. If you are using a Collection as the Gallery Items, you can use AddColumns to add this field, then make the Default of the dropdown this field value - you can Patch to it when the drop-down changes and then when it resets, it will retain the value.
