Refresh Ribbon suppression with automatic update

Hi, Is there any way to suppress the refresh ribbon but automatically press the button to update? My stakeholders would like to improve the user experience.

    Automatically press it when? Essentially you want it triggered, but when? You said to update, but how do you know it needs an update?
     
    I am guessing this is a model driven app.
