Hello!

I am creating a custom Power app form from an existing SharePoint lists.  When I try to run it, I get this error:
Error when trying to retrieve data from the network: The query cannot be completed because the number of lookup columns it contains exceeds the lookup column threshold. clientRequestId: "" serviceRequestId: ""

The form is a little lengthy because of the information needed when filled out by the user. Is there anyway around this or a fix? Thank you!

    You are only allowed 12 Lookup or Person type columns - I assume you have exceeded this number ?

    Yes I did, I believe I have about 22 or so. I wonder if there is a way around it.

    Hi @WarrenBelz  do you know any work arounds? What would you suggest? I have a customized form that needs to show all the information. Should I make a stand-alone PowerApps and connect the data to the SharePoint list to avoid this error?

    Thank you!

    Notifications are not working so I did not see your reply. A Canvas app will not solve this issue.

    If I have 10 lookup / person fields - NO issues.

    After adding the 11th lookup / person field - there are issues with getting data in Power Apps.

    With in the SharePoint list - NO issues, working fine having ALL the fields in any Views.

    NOTE (as I understood): The limit is 12 like lookup / person fields (10 + 2 system ones - "Created by", "Modified by")

    ================

    Found - "Another option is to use indexed columns and filtering to keep the view size for the list to 5,000 items or less."

    If you have MORE then 12 like lookup / person fields (10 + 2 system ones - "Created by", "Modified by"), INDEXING doesn't help ! - verified.

    ================

    SO, the only way to avoid errors in Power platform - to have LESS than 12 like lookup / person fields (10 + 2 system ones - "Created by", "Modified by").

    Yes - that summary is accurate. A suggestion is that Lookup columns are generally unnecessary (I never use them) and only cause you unwanted restrictions and complexity in Power Apps, so you can have more Person columns in your limit.
