Hi,

I'm making a Power Automate flow that requires me to read and write to a SharePoint where I only have access to a specific folder and not the whole thing.  I can't find the SharePoint drive I need to work out of from the list of sites in something like the "Get files (properties only)" and am wondering if I need full access to the specific SharePoint drive to be able to work from it on Power Automate with the SharePoint connection.  I've tried to manually write in the site address but it didn't work.

If it's impossible to access only a specific folder in SharePoint, I will be able to request access to the drive, but I am hoping for a solution that won't have to require that since it will allow me to work on more projects with different departments without having access to every SharePoint the company has.

    HI,

Can you provide more detail on why typing in the name didn't work.

If you click Add Dynamic Content, you should be able to use a variable or type in the URL etc without issue.

If you can share the error happy to help. As for permission it depends on what you have. I know sort of what you said you dont have but i'd need to look at your permissions.
    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm still new to using Power Automate, so I don't think I completely understand how to convey my issue, since I lack the terminology.  When I go to the Site Address dropdown in the "Get files (properties only)" action, I only see options for SharePoint sites that I have full access to.

The problem I have is that I want to be able to access a folder that was shared with me in a SharePoint site I don't have access to.  When I view that specific folder on the SharePoint file explorer in the browser, I am able to open, read and write in the folder, but I want to be able to access this SharePoint folder through Power Automate.  I believe I am unable to do it because I may need full access to the SharePoint site, as opposed to having just a folder from that site shared with me, kind of like how you can share just a folder on Google Drive without sharing all of your files.

I've tried typing the URL for the site into the "Site Address" field, but I keep getting the error saying it cannot reach it.  If I was able to access that SharePoint site, it should show up in the dropdown, but I only see ones that I was granted access to.

I hope this outlines my issue more clearly.

    Hi,

Yes, I understood your original explanation. But it doesn't sound like you answered what I asked.

You do not need full permissions to the site. That essentially means yours an admin. Thats why I was trying to get you to tell me the issue you had typing it in and trying it, so that it would give more to go on.
    Cheers
