Copy Folder Structure into a new folder

I have a document library that has a folder called 2024 with subfolders.  I want to copy all those subfolders into a new folder called 2025.  Can I duplicate the 2024 folder and subfolders and rename it to 2025 or would I create the new folder first than copy the 2024 subfolders to 2025?

    Hi  ,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community.

Quick question is this in sharepoint or onedrive?

You can definitely duplicate the 2024 folder and its subfolders, then rename it to 2025.

This way, you preserve the entire structure and contents without needing to manually create the new folder and copy each subfolder individually.

    Here's a simple step-by-step guide:

Duplicate the 2024 Folder: Right-click on the 2024 folder and select "Copy."

Paste the Folder: Navigate to the location where you want the new 2025 folder, right-click, and select "Paste."

Rename the New Folder: Right-click on the newly pasted folder (which will likely be named "2024 - Copy" or similar), select "Rename," and change the name to 2025.

This method ensures that all subfolders and their contents are copied over to the new 2025 folder seamlessly.

    Happy to help.

    Hi Robu1 â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹,

I only want the subfolders not the contents of those folders.
