Hello i have this screen shot to show what i have setup for the Send Email section. the user who fills out my form (which is why for To: i used "Created by email" dynamic content) does get an email notifying them they made a new item. However my issue s I'm also getting each email notification when their new item is made. See the second screen shot what that looks like. i assume since I'm the flow automate creator this is why, is there a way to turn that off?
@somebodycool The behavior that you describe is normal. The email is sent from your account (your account is used for the send an email action). Just like any other email that you send, it appears in your sent items folder. This is not a behavior caused by Power Automate - it is just how Exchange works.
If you don't like this behavior, consider using a Send an email notification action instead. It will not show as sent by you and won't be in your sent items folder. Another option is to send from a shared mailbox using the send fromss shared mailbox action.
hello thanks for your reply ScottShearer. the message shows up in my Outlook Sent box where the From: is from me and To: is to the creator of the new item. They also get an email in their inbox for the exact same email since the email being received is to notify they made the new item as the send email screen shot shows. i don't see why power automate needs to regurgitate that same email in my sent box, as i will end up getting every persons new item email notification.
hope i made some sense from the above.
From what I see in the Flow, there is no reason for you to be receiving emails. You will show as the person who sent the email because your connection info is used for the action.
Please confirm that you are actually receiving the emails as well - i.e. your name appears on both the to and from lines of the email.
