Ability to save workflow despite errors

Issue: can't save a flow when their are errors.

use case: When building a flow, I sometimes copy another flow and update the necessary stages.  Thereby saving myself the hassle of recreating the entire workflow.  However, since you can't save a workflow with errors, you need to make all of the edits in one session rather than saving with errors and being able to incrementally correct as time permits.  Very frustrating!

Solution: Allow saving but prompt with something like "this flow contains errors do you still want to save?" if there are errors.

If this is functionality you would like to see added to Flow, please consider submitting it to the Flow Ideas page, where it can be voted on by other users, and tracked and commented on by the Flow team. Here is an existing idea: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Flow-Ideas/Regarding-the-temporary-saving-of-Flow/idi-p/189951

    Hi @apreboski ï¼Œ

    Thanks for your feedback.

Flow is now not able to be saved when it contains errors currently.

As @Brad_Groux  suggested, please submit your request on Flow Ideas Forum

    Best regards,

    Mabel

Same here. I can not use many hours to make just one flow, but when I leave web browser some hours for other tasks, page was died and I have to recreate it from zero. And again...

The feature is needed what is just save flow even error are exist.

Error check feature needed when enable flow, I think.

I think change function is better like below.

    1. When saving enabled flow was edited, the flow status should be changed to disabled.

    2. Saving flow not check error. But it is good to make optional function "save & enable flow" what will do both of save and enable flow (it will check error exist or not).

    3. After saving flow, enabling flow will check error.

this has been posted numerous times on the ideas forum to zero response. any idea if this is ever going to be addressed? This is surely not intended behavior for a platform that takes as much tweaking and googling as power automate to get running. Frequently, it takes more than a single sitting to get a flow up and running and as of now, there's no way to come back to a flow that's not set up and running perfectly first try. Seems entirely counterproductive to the core idea of powerautomate. powerapps has a testing environment, that would be a perfect solution.

At the Microsoft Power Platform Conference Microsoft indicated this feature is coming soon. Maybe in the spring I think they said.

They've been saying this for almost a year now sadly, after posting i went and looked at the roadmap and when they said this was going to be implemented is far gone and passed by now.

This is a critical feature. One can't be expected to always complete an entire flow in one go. Why is this not done yet?

Finally there is a solution, called drafts: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/drafts-versioning
