when an item is added update or add item to another list - multiple entry

I created an automated flow that adds warranty information to my warranty list when I add new sales item. The flow is setup to look for the system ID, if it already exits update the item, if not create a new item. It is creating the same item. Only one item has both the customer ID and system ID. I am not sure what is causing this.

    It might be the list size issue

    one thing that you can do is use an odata filter on list - idcolumnname eq 'Th ID to check'  â€¦and then directly check the return value count ..if >0 update else add

    cheers

    I am having trouble with the filter. Can you help? I have verified the internal names of columns multiple times. Now I am getting this error. Column 'System_x0020_ID' does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user.

    Hi @ChrissyRamirez !

    The error you are getting is because you are not using an internal name of that column. Internal names don't have spaces. x0020 indicates space.

    Go to your SharePoint list, and do this:

    You will get the internal name after that = sign. Then use that into the Filter query like this:

    SystemID eq 'field_2'

    You can also refer to this blog to get an idea of how to extract the internal name in different ways: How to find the Internal name of columns in SharePoint Online?

    I hope this helps.

    I created a new column and the id is marked at SystemID in the address. I resubmitted it and received another error. The query that I used is 'SystemID' eq 'field_2'. Can you tell me if you can point out any other changes I should make?

    @ChrissyRamirez

    SystemID should not be in single quotes

    cheers
