Dear All,

I have several flows running and working fine, however I have faced a particular issue on this case with this error:

this SharePoint "Update item" function is just updating an excel file in SharePoint columns from "Pending" status to "Approved" and populating the "Sign-off by Claims" user:

As mentioned before this is first time I have seen this error, however if the Sharepoint excel file was not properly updated this put all flow in check once this is part of the overall process and linked to Power BI reports, dashboards, etc...

Dears, please let me know if you have any idea or a solution for this.

I'm reaching out because I haven't found a solution for this challenge, and we are still encountering the same error while using Power Automate to update SharePoint Excel files:

"status": 400, "message": "The specified user 'silva, joao' (fake name) could not be found."

This error appears intermittently when updating a specific field column in SharePoint, which we are using as the last response as requested by @wskinnermctc.

What type of SharePoint column is "Sign-off by"? Is it a single line text, choice, lookup?

What value are you using in the Update Item for the field "Sign-off by"? Can you show a screenshot of the dynamic content you are putting in the field, so I can see where the value is coming from. Can you also show a screenshot of what the value itself looks like, so I can see what value format looks like?

The type of column from SP is Type "Person or Group":

The value I'm trying to reach and populate the SP column is "Responses Approver Name"

Try using the Response Approver user Principal Name, since that is the unique O365 Account User Name.

I don't know if that will work, but it is worth a try.
