Flow will not trigger when MS Forms submitted from external email address

Hi.

We have a SharePoint list set up that allows our community to make enquiries using an MS Form which auto populates the SharePoint List. I also have a Flow set up so that the original enquirer can ask for an update again using an MS Form. This flow triggers fine when an email is sent from within the organisation but I have tested it today with an external user and while the creation of the entry in the SharePoint list works, the flow does not trigger when they ask for an update.

Here is the flow. Any help will be really appreciated.

Are you picking up the submitter email to put in the SharePoint list?  If not where is the email coming from that is used to send the email when the form is submitted?  There are two potential issues

    1) If you are using the submitter email from the form the problem is that external users will submit the form anonymously and there won't be an email.

    2) The To field in Send an Email defaults to a people picker that only recognizes internal addresses.  There is an icon above and to the right of it that needs to be clicked to shift it out of that mode.

Hi. Yes the email is populated into the SharePoint list form the submitted MS Form and that is what the Enquirer Email points to for the email address. We have another flow that sends an automated email to the enquirer when they first submit an enquiry and the *To is the same. (See below) This works perfectly and sends the email to external email addresses.

After much searching and trial and error, I found a solution. Although the data for the enquirer email was submitted and stored, the column was not displayed on the list page. I added it and the flow triggered. Its odd though that it worked for internal but not external enquirers before doing this.
