Search sharepoint list and document library

Hi All,

I am not entirely sure how to word what I am trying to ask, however here it goes:

I have PA that looks through a document library via a filter. I also have a sharepoint list which contains more information about the items in the document library. For example, the document library has Part Number: 1234 and the SP List has Property: ABCD for 1234.

I would like to be able to search something like 1234 and ABCD together.

Is this possible and how can it be done?

Thanks

    Hi@AAAPP,

Could you please share a bit more about the scenario:

    1. do you want to search related string to the Part Number and Property at the same time?
    2. how you filter the document library?
    3. how you configure your SP list?

Please do answer the above questions and a screenshot would be great.

    Best Regards,

    Qi

    Hi @v-qiaqi-msft

I'll try to answer these in order:

    1. That is correct. My application is such where I am displaying some PDFs on some Machines. I would then like to filter for part number, family and machine in PA. For example, I will have a field that selects Machine A, then in an input box, I would like the operator to be able to enter the Family (Say family 01) name of the parts the parts they need to process. This would then only display the parts for family 01 for Machine A, and not all of the parts for Machine A. The information about family is in the document library, the information about machine is in the SP list.

    2. It's via an input box using the filter and sort commands.

    3. Apologies, I'm not sure what this means. Can you elaborate further?

    Thank you
