Power Automate in Power BI

I learned that we can use Power BI to create a flow but it will be triggered by user click.

Is it possible to set it to recurrence and run daily?

Yes, this is what scheduled cloud flows are for. Do you have problems creating one?

(if you want to convert a Power BI click flow to a scheduled flow, delete the click trigger. You will get asked to provide a different trigger. Choose schedule.)

    Hi @lbendlin

that wouldnt work. the moment i delete the trigger, i wont be able to use the dynamic content. unless there is an easy way to get/resolve and allow me to use the dynamic content again?

    Hi,

Unfortunately, the only way to do what you asked (which is can you make it scheduled), is @lbendlin  answers.

If you use that, you can use the Power BI Connector / Actions to access the data that was being triggered to you via the button.

This way you can still do what you were doing, it just adds a couple small changes.

But you will be all good, loads do it this way.

    Cheers

I actually saw a few posts on the same related question but it was always unanswered prior to my posting. Today, I have managed to find out how to use Recurrence with Power BI and get the data in the table visual as dynamic content.

Hopefully this will benefit whoever come across this in future.

Roughly, these are the steps required.

Yeah that is a flow Like I was describing. You have the Trigger and then the Power BI Connector Action to get the data then bingo.

Glad you got what you need.
