Hello Community,

I have a question regarding the licensing requirements for sending a Power BI report as a PDF via email using Power Automate.

I understand that the workspace needs to be hosted in a Fabric or Premium capacity. Do the recipients also need a Pro or Premium license to receive the PDF by email?

This article explains the requirements including workspace licensing (Premium capacity is required for the “Export to File for Power BI Reports” action)

At least one workspace in your Power BI tenant backed by a reserved capacity. This capacity can be any of the A1/EM1 - A6/P3 SKUs. Read more about reserved capacities in Power BI Premium.

If you’re just emailing a PDF attachment, recipients do not need a Power BI Pro or Premium license to receive and view the PDF file you’ve sent them — a license is only required for accessing Power BI service content directly.
