Search Usersv2 broken? No results with dynamic input

Dear Community,
I am trying to Use the "Search Users v2" Step.
For this purpose i only have the Display Name available.

If i input the Display Name as a String Variable, extracted with a compose step beforehand, the Search Users Step does not return any Values, the body stays blank.
If the input is hardcoded it returns the values. I compared the "Raw Input" Fields of the two jobs, but they are identical.

Power Automate seems to treat the dynamic contant somehow differnt.

The dynamically extracted Strings work fine within any other step without problems.

How can we solve this?

To better assist you with your Power Automate issue, could you please provide a screenshot of your flow, specifically showing how the action(s) are configured? If you are encountering any errors, please indicate which action failed and include the error message(s) you received. This information will help us diagnose the problem more effectively. Also include an image of a flow run with the value created from the expression in the compose action (black out as needed for data privacy). Thank you!

    Hello David,

The step does not actually produce an error but is successful, but is not returning any values, the body stays blank:

Input of the search for users action is an extracted string variable from e-mail, the string variable is being extracted with a compose step and put into an variable "Manager":

If i take a look at the "raw inputs" of the step i can clearly see the correct Search term.

If i choose to hardcode the search Term, wether in the "search users" input or the manager variable,
the "raw input parameters" show up identical, but values are returned as expected

Whenever the value is dynamic it is not working.

    Any ideas?

I have the same drawback when getting userV2 but it brings me 2 completely different errors:

"Exception of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ResourceNotFoundException' was thrown."

I am trying to get user data and concatenate with string variables but it does not return any value for concatenation.

Based on your screen shot, you are using the Get user profile action instead of search for users action:
The error message says the user profile you were trying to get was not found as noted in your screen shot.
You'll need to add error handling to your flow. You can do that with a parallel branch underneath the action.
For the action you want to handle when the user is not found, set the run after setting to has failed:
