Canevas Apps and SQL server

Hello everybody

 

I have a canvas application, with an SQL server database, and when I try to retrieve the data from the SQL I noticed that it is very slow, I want to know the solutions that should be adopted to resolve this problem, someone suggested to me to use pagination, other collections so I am lost.

 

Is there anyone among you who can guide me to a better solution?

    I use Azure SQL databases all the time and it works great. Once in awhile you will get a slow down from system acting up, but a majority of the time it works for most common workloads. 

     

    What exactly are you connecting too, is the table large? Is it indexed? Are you returning a bunch of columns? I use even the most basic of Azure SQL the 5 and 10 dollar plans are usually both just fine.
