Unable to find a data type

Hi:

In designing my entities, I could not find the following data types (from available drop down list) for a field:

1. Lookup

2. Currency

Could someone advise me on where to look for the above mentioned data type?

I would appreciate your quick response.

Isaiah A.

Lookup type is available in legacy CDM migrated databases only, in new environments and CDS your entities have relationships now (see the tabs when designing an entity). The currency data type shows as an option in both versions for me.

    Hi IsaiahA,

In my testing, I could find the Currency and the Lookup Data type:

If you need any further help on this, please post back.

    Edited: Removed the old articles.

Hi Michael_Shao, the 'Lookup' data type cannot be chosen in new CDS databases, it is only available in the legacy migrated environment databases. You cannot find 'Lookup' data type in the dropdown in new environment databases.

    Hello,

Please create a lookup relation in the relationship tab for the entity in the new environment. It will automaticaly create a lookup field for you.

    Thanks

    Hi DaveB,

Thanks for the remidings, I checked in the wrong environments. Apologizes.

In the new environment, the lookup type could be managed under the newly created entites, click into the entity, under relationship tab, click new relationship:

The currency is still listed under the fields.
