Filtering the data table based on a global variable

Hi,

As a newbie in powerapps , I am working on a POC . I have 2 data sources connected to my app. I have a globalVar created and can see the variable in the detail page, I need to filter the datatable ( which is connected to 2nd data source) based on the variable, How can I show the value in Datatable3 where the external _id =globalvar

Would anyone please help me to figure the best way to achieve this?

    @Aysan

    For Datatable3's Items property, try using following formula:

    Filter(<data source for the table>,external _id =globalvar)

    Please check the above formula and provide your observation or questions here.

    Hi Krishna,

    Thanks for your response, I am not sure why I can't get the filter to work, the following screenshot shows the data table when I select item=

    but when I try to Filter by name ( to make it simple) it doesn't work

    Thank you!

    Hi @Aysan ,

    Filter could not work because there was space after "Global", I suppose.

    Please try below and check the result:

    Filter(organizations,StartsWith(name,"T-Mobile"))

    Hope this helps.
