Actionable Message shows blank

Hello everyone,

I found it quite hard to get a lot information about this topic. I hope this is not a duplicate..

I would like to send out an actionable message via Power Automate. I registered a provider and got approval since a year.

I use the originator ID in the message payload and everything works fine on my computer when I receive mails, sent by the mail I registered.

The debugger addin in Outlook tells me it recognized everything, "Card allowed for the sender" and I can see the card and interact with its action buttons.

But when I send out the mail to someone else, the mail seems empty. I installed the debugger addin on that computer, it shows exactly the same in that mail as I saw on my computer. The actionable message is there, everything looks fine, no errors displayed. But the mail is blank.

Any idea?

Cheers!

    Hi @Maltener

    Believe you are talking about the adaptive cards via outlook.

    What's the scope of submission and you are sending actionable email within the same organisation members?

    Hi @abm,

    yes, it is adaptive cards. Should I change it in the title of the thread?

    I use the Organizational scope, I also registered the HTTP address I'm using for the action buttons.

    Regards

    Hi @Maltener

    You don't need to change the title. I just want to confirm.

    Sounds like you have all the right configs. For me it took more than a day to get all working.  Also did your Exchange admin approved the request.

    Everything is approved, yes.
    I set everything up 1.5 years ago. So a process delay shouldn't be an issue. Is there anything else one need to consider for usage?

    I am using my personal account for the PowerAutomate flow and send the mail via the mail address which I linked with the registered provider.

    The Debugger on my computer looks like this:

    {
    -"ActionableMessageStamping": {
    "Errors": [ ],
    -"Infos": [
    "Card allowed for the sender"
    ]
    },
    "CardEnabledForMessage": true,
    "ClientName": "Outlook",
    "ClientVersion": "16.0.15601.20538",
    "InternetMessageId": "<...>",
    "EntityExtractionSuccess": true,
    "AdaptiveCardPayloadParsed": true,
    "Originator": "...",
    -"MessageCardPayload": {
    "found": false,
    "type": null
    },
    -"AuthHeader": {
    "results": "dkim=none (message not signed) header.d=none;dmarc=none action=none header.from=...;",
    "authAs": "Internal"
    }
    }

    The Debugger for the other user, where the mail is just blank, looks like this:

    Hi @Maltener

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    It could be the outlook client. So to confirm ask the other user to logon to

    https://www.office.com and check the email. See whether the adaptive card is rendering correctly or not?

    Thanks

    After checking the webapp again, it worked there.
    Then we tried looking at the Outlook client again. It didn't show the card in the mail, it was just empty.
    We then restarted the Desktop app and the card was there. Very odd, I was hoping it is not that simple..

    Thanks for your help anyway! Have a good day!

    Hi @Maltener

    It did exactly the same for me. That's the reason I asked to check the email from the browser instead of the client.  Not sure that resets something or not. Glad to hear that its working.

    If you happy the response please accept the solution as this will help others when they look for solution.

    Thanks

    I am hoping I can piggyback onto this one. I am having a similar issue where my flow creates an approval and sends an actionable email (or adaptive card if you will) to an approver who can click approve from the email body. My issue is that when I am being sent the email, the message does not appear as an actionable message but rather a regular email with "Approve" and "Reject" buttons showing up but acting as links to the POwerAutomate approvals portal rather than taking action upon click. I am at my wits end because this was working before and is now not working. Further, it works for everyone else. I am using the newest version of outlook.

    How does your flow look like? Which actions do you use? Would you have a screenshot of the mail you receive and how the mail should actually look like?
