Generate report based on Power BI pages for each filter and automate periodic email delivery to users

Hi All,

Background: I could really appreciate some help here. I have a power BI report with multiple pages. The report provides set of manufacturing KPI's such as weekly OEE, Production, Cost etc. There is a filter names 'Production Line" which provides these KPI at each manufacturing line level.

Objective: I need to automatically generate a report which provides separate views of these KPI's for each manufacturing lines and automatically send to users based on a table. For example User A must only receive this report for Line 1 and Line 2 while user B should receive report of "Line 1", "Line 3", and "Line 4" while User C might receive the report with separate vies of all the lines. We can define this through a separate table with columns as User Email and Line.

Issue: I and users have power BI pro license but we do not have premium license of capacity. If I run power automate using "Export to file using Power BI report", its giving me an error- 'Report requested for export is not on dedicated capacity'. I assume I am getting this error since I do not have premium license or do not have premium workspace.

Anyone able to direct me right resources, ideas, blogs which could help me with the objective I am trying to accomplish?

Thanks for your help!

    Hi @vchandra93

There is no way to do what you want, aka download a report. Without the proper license it is not possible.

What you could do, is run a query on the dataset that has what you need, and then generate the report in Excel, or if its just a line item, directly in your Send Email action

If you like my answer, I would really appreciate if you please Mark it as Resolved, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

    Cheers
