Send Email flow

Hi folks,

Hope someone can help. I'm really new to Power Virtual agents and kind of learning on the job. I'm currently designing a bot for our HR department to use. Essentially I want to get the bot to send an email on the users behalf to a specific email address, I believe I have everything set up correctly, and when testing in the topic environment it works fine - although it does ask you to login and copy a code into the chat before it'll send the email.

However, once published, the bot just hangs when it gets to that point, there's no login option and no email is sent, but the flow reports a success.

Hi thanks for your help, but i think i've found the solution.

It is on the API connection side, there are some permissions in MSGraph that need activating in order for it to function correctly, and as it turns out it's collecting information straight from my data rather than company wide data! Rookie mistake on my front.

Based on what you said previously, (that flows are succeeding - and that's a very very simple flow so I don't see why it'd fail) I'm pretty sure it's something on the PVA side, unfortunately. I don't really see where, from your PVA screenshot ... here's a question foryou: if you check out a Power Automate run, what does the email output look like? (Not the sent email, but the raw output in the run) - Does it have the data you'd expect in it? I'm wondering if the variables you're passing in are null.

Hi, thanks for replying so quickly!

I haven't tried that forum yet, but i'll check it out. I've added screenshots of the flow, and the bot segments and blanked out the email address, really appreciate your help.

I'm actually wondering if it's something to do with the API integration considering the login requirement in testing. I tried to set up SSO for teams, I don't want users to have to login again to make full use of this functionality.

It seems like this might be a bot issue more than a flow issue? It's hard to tell without seeing what you've done so far. There is a Power Virtual Agents forum as well, have you tried there?

If you can show what you have so far though, we can at least identify which app is the problem app..
