Hosted Machine Group and Download files using Edge

I am trying to automate in Edge
 - Logging into Third Party
 - Do some validations
 - Download file(s).

I am using Hosted machine Group with 2 BOTs.

I have a requirement to
- Copy these downloaded file to somewhere in our network directory.

I need to know
- How can I access these downloaded files since there are on BOTs (Not a VM)
- Once I have access to these files, what do I need to do to copy that in our network, which is behind our VPN firewall.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @sshah2001

"How can I access these downloaded files since there are on BOTs (Not a VM)"

There is no such thing like "BOT" - these are Virtual Machines hosted by Microsoft in their Azure infrastructure.

It's similar to running your automation on your personal computer, outside of your company's premises.

So if you need to copy the files to your infrastructure environment, I would recommend you getting in touch with your IT/IT security department for:

    1. Ensuring you are not breaking any company's policies by accessing data out of the company's infrastructure
    2. Checking with them if the do support Azure, if yes, they could create you virtual machine base image that could be used for hosted bots, such a machine can be your company's machine with all the software and connectivity to your shared drives (if IT do work and support Azure).
    3. If not point 2 then you can use "send email" and just email file to mailbox. Then have a separate automation that looks for a email from the first bot and saves the files in the network drive. That could be PAD or even PA with data gateway is installed on local machine in your network - again all depends on your IT policies and IT support for the tools 🙂

Did you get anywhere on this topic?  I am looking to do the same thing, of a sorts.

    Several options, to name few:

Copy file content to output variable to transfer it to PA cloud, then use PA to send email or trigger PAD on on-prem machine or use data gateway to create file using files system connector or store on OneDrive / Sharepoitn synced to on-prem - many possibilities really
