In Outlook, when I flag an email with a due date, I want to automatically create a calendar event on that due date. In this case, how should I set the start and end date for the event?

    Hi,

    1. Trigger:

    • Trigger: When a new email arrives (V3)

      • ✅ Enable "Only with Flag set" option.

      • If this is not available, use When a flagged email is created or filter emails flagged using a condition.

    2. Condition (Optional):

    • Add a condition to check if Flag/Due Date is not null, to avoid creating events without valid dates.

    3. Get Due Date:

    • The Flag object has a dueDateTime field.

    • Extract dueDateTime from the flagged message.

    4. Create Calendar Event:

    • Action: Create event (V4) (Outlook)

    • Use the dueDateTime to create the event:

      • Start Time: Set to dueDateTime + "T09:00:00"

      • End Time: Set to dueDateTime + "T09:30:00"

      Example using Expression:

      start time: formatDateTime(triggerOutputs()?['body/flag/dueDateTime'], 'yyyy-MM-ddT09:00:00')
      end time: formatDateTime(triggerOutputs()?['body/flag/dueDateTime'], 'yyyy-MM-ddT09:30:00')

    5. Set Other Fields:

    • Subject: Use subject from the email.

    • Body: Include the email preview or link.

    • Location: Leave blank or set default.

    If I have answered your question, please mark it as the preferred solution ✅ . If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up 👍.
    Regards,
    Riyaz

    Do I need the premium version of automate to create this flow? I tried to do it on the free licence but I do not have access to the flag parameter or flag/due date parameter in the when a new email arrives trigger
