As the Subject says i would like to copy an item from one sharepoint lis to another through flow ,but the problem i am facing is that when i am giving a create item action in flow i am not having any option to copy all the modification logs that happened to this particular list item when in was in first list

Is there anyway i can acheive this ? Can i copy the modification logs associated with the list items in the first list to the second list when i am copying ?

PS : Actually there are multiple people who are going to edit the item when it was in list 1 ,so if i copy Modified by field ,i am going to get last modified person details only not all the trail of modified details..any way to get all the data ?

    @vish_p :

System columns such as modified and modified by cannot be set using any "out of the box" Flow action.

Likewise, you cannot set the version history.  You may/may not be able to do some of this by calling the SharePoint API by using the Send an HTTP request to SharePoint action.

As an alternative, I suggest leaving the items in one list and using views to show items with different statuses.  If you want to prevent additional edits, you can consider declaring items that should not be edited as a record or changing their permissions.  Changing permissions will require a third party tool or an API call.  Setting an item, as a record will require a Designer workflow or an API call as well as changes to the list configuration.

Hey @ScottShearer  Thanks for the Reply!

Actually i am using List 1 as the primary list where users will apply/modify data ,so i usually keep it as minimum as possible for faster indexing/processing and once all the modfcations are done ,i am moving it to another list i.e. List 2,so cannot restrict to only one list

    Hi @vish_p ,

Do you want to get all the metadata including the version histories when copy an item from List1 to List2?

If so, I am afraid that it might be not possible to achieve it currently.

    Hey all

I guess it is possible to "copy" the modified and modified by from List1 into custom created columns in List2?

    Kind regards

    Tom

    Hi @vish_p ,

    Thanks for your understanding.

I will suggest other customers who have the same request vote your idea as well. PGs will take hot ideas into consideration first in the future releases.

    Best regards,

    Mabel
