Junk email filtering

I'm trying to create a flow to weed out messages in outlook.com junk email folder. The trigger I would like to use is the "From" (sender) email header field. When I look at the From header in the actual email headers it looks for example like this:

From: Fix Your Metabolism <auLoTKUbdvuy@tzathm.com>

However the flow dynamic content extracts only the email address part "auLoTKUbdvuy@tzathm.com"

In junk mail the address is not useful and also the body is not very reliable. However in this case the word "Metabolism" would be a good filter.

Any ideas how I can get the "non address" part of the from header

Hi @kaj_t.  I don't think it's a good idea. What a flow can do better than a rule created in e-mail client?

I'm trying to make this server based. It looks like on outlook.com the rules created with the web interface don't apply to messages that go directly to the junk mail folder based on outllok.com internal filtering.

Hi @Rackmani I believe a possible solution is creating a flow that uses the MS GRAPH interface and the premium connector "Invoke a HTTP request".

Thanks for you input Victor. In my case I have to deal with outlook.com connector which for some reason does not get the display name of the sender.

Hi @kaj_t, sorry I know almost nothing about Outlook.com.

If I create a free account  in Outlook.com and log in to https://outlook.live.com/, can I create a flow?

I was looking to delete from junk as opposed to move to junk. Thx

I have a paid account so I'm not 100% sure but I think you can. The only difference between paid and free is that paid does not have advertisement.
