Restore a deleted library that was deleted using Send HTTP Request to sharepoint in power automate?

I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find it.

I've developed a process to create and delete libraries in sharepoint from a powerapp. I've create a power automate flow and used the "Send an http request to sharepoint" action to delete it.

My question is, can a library deleted this way be restored? I do not see it in the recycle bin at all.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, I have an answer that may not be the one you are looking for.

When using the "Send an HTTP request to SharePoint" action in Power Automate to delete a document library, the library is permanently deleted and does not move to the Recycle Bin. This behavior differs from deleting items via the SharePoint user interface, where they typically go to the Recycle Bin first.

In general terms, I don't like to use delete actions inside Power Automate for this reason but at a minimum, add an approval step and review before deleting if you continue to use the flow.

Sorry I didn't have a different answer though.

When you delete a SharePoint library using the "Send an HTTP request to SharePoint" action with the REST API, it is permanently deleted and does not go to the Recycle Bin. This is because the SharePoint REST API does not move lists or libraries to the Recycle Bin when using the DELETE method—it hard deletes them.

The answer to your question - "Can the Library Be Restored? " -
Unfortunately, no, if the library was deleted using the REST API, it cannot be restored from the Recycle Bin. Unlike when deleting via the UI or Power Automate's built-in "Delete File" or "Delete List" actions, the REST API bypasses the Recycle Bin.

If you want to ensure deleted libraries can be restored, avoid using the DELETE method in the REST API. Instead, use Power Automate's "Delete File" or "Delete List" actions, which send items to the Recycle Bin.
