Subgrid not showing up

I am completely new to powerapps portals and have very little experience with model driven apps, so if this sounds silly, I apologize. I have two tables, Customer, and UWI, the customer table and UWI table are in a 1 to N relationship, where 1 customer can have many UWIs. I want to build a form for external users, who can open the webpage, add their details (name, phone, email etc.) and add one or more UWIs (It's just a 15 character string). Therefore, what I am trying to do is have a form for the customer table, and have a subgrid within that to add 1 or more UWIs, I just want the functionality to create records in the UWI table, not view, update or delete. The user just adds their details and one or more UWIs and hits submit and that's it. Now I have tried creating this subgrid, added it to the customer form, and it shows up in the portals editor, but when I browse, I don't see the option to add/create a UWI, the subgrid just doesn't show up. I made sure that the form had the required roles i.e allowing anonymous users etc., but it still doesn't show up. I am not sure what am I missing, if anyone could provide some guidance, it would be highly appreciated.
