Responsive Powerapp: Poor performance on low-end devices?

I have an app that's built to generate quotes for select products. The data source is a Sharepoint List with about 80 rows.

It's built to be responsive with an Flexible Height Gallery for the 'Products'.  Inside the gallery is a horizontal container that changes it's layout to Vertical on App.Widith < 768.

On more powerful devices, it seems to work okay, but on phones/tablets with < 4GB of ram, it's somewhat "laggy" during events like when the device is rotated (going from Horizontal to Vertical).

    Hi @jlr89 ,

    My experience over the years has been exactly the same - the more you ask the app to do, especially in the display resolving area, the more processing power it needs. A company I did work for retired some old iPads for this reason.

    I get that, but there are some things that are blocking for longer than they should...

    For example, I have a set of buttons in a Gallery to filter a products list by category. I set the OnSelect to set a variable that starts a timer, and to Select(Parent).

    I would imagine that this function would run seemingly instantaneously, even on low-end devices, however it takes a couple seconds on a 3-year-old iPad....

    @jlr89 ,

    I would tend to agree, but unfortunately there is not much you can do in Power Apps and is actually one of the reasons I do not make my mobile apps responsive in the design dimensions.
