Creating Power Apps that can be used with and without internet service

Hello,

I have hired a developer to create a mobile app that can be used by engineers in the field to manage equipment. I requested that the app work when the phone has no service. And then, when the user regains service, it syncs the data that the user entered and adds it to the app. When he first started developing the app, the functionality worked and now it doesn't. The developer said he is in touch with Microsoft Tech, but I want to make sure the issue is actually on MIcrosoft's side and not the developers.  Has anything changed on MIcrosoft's side to not allow this type of functionality? Thanks.

    @rfbusa

    Non-connected apps are not something built into PowerApps, so there would be nothing that "changed" on the Microsoft side.  The ability to have a disconnected app is solely up to the designer of the App.  So, if there is an issue, your designer should be reviewing where they have created the problem.

    I hope this is helpful for you.

    Hi @rfbusa
    The typical way to build an offline capable app is to use the connection signal to check for connectivity.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/signals

    The app would then cache the offline data through collections and the savedata/loaddata functions.

    As far as I'm aware, none of these core features have changed.

    Without seeing your actual code, it's difficult to ascertain exactly where the problem lies.
