Setup a folder structure by month and use an expression in Power Automate to get the current month and get the file from the correct folder

Would anyone have documentation/steps on how to do this? If so, would be much appreciated. I'm mostly looking for a way to create an expression that would get the current month and the file from the correct folder.

Thank you!

Can you provide a little more detail on your requirement.  What naming convention will you use on your folders?

Can you provide a little more info of the file that you want to retrieve?  Will there be multiple files in the folder?  What do you want to do with the file?

Currently my company is planning on sending out monthly reports. We want to automate it so that once we put a file in a folder, then it will automatically create an email and send it out. The problem is the monthly reports will change monthly, and so I'm not sure how to automate it so that it grabs the correct/new file each month. Someone suggested I could name the file/folder a certain month, and then use power automate to grab the current month and use that to find the folder.

Hope that made sense? If not ask away 🙂
