Using UTC time not working

Hi All

I am trying to write a flow that references a table in excel, finds today's date in the list and emails that relevant person on that line. I am using the 'List rows present in a table' function with a filter on the DateText column (I have created a column in the excel table to convert the date to text). In the filter column I have put DateText eq '[fx UTCNOW('dd/mm/yy')]' (I have used the expression not just typed it). When I run the flow it seems to run but returns no results, when I check the flow it seems to create a random month, which means it returns no results. See screenshots below.

Thanks in advance for any help

    I don't believe the issue is with utcNow().  Rather, your issue results from the fact that Excel store dates differently than Flow expects.  Take a look at this blog post for a full explanation and a way forward.

    Thanks for responding, however I already suspected that might be the case hence the reason I have created a column in my excel table to convert the date to text rather than, but if you look at my flow test results the utcnow() function has generated a random month it is generating '13/05/20' rather than '13/02/20' which is what I would expect.InkedCapture2_LI.jpg

    In Power Automate months are always in upper case MM. Lower case mm is for minutes.

    I have just tried removing the utcnow() function and manually typed in today's date and it worked fine, so there is clearly something I am getting wrong with the utcnow() function.

    Hello @Anonymous

    Please see my flow below:

    Replace 'Mountain Standard Time' with your time zoneReplace 'Mountain Standard Time' with your time zone

     The expression i am using is:

    convertFromUtc(utcNow(),'Mountain Standard Time','dd/MM/yy')

    Replace 'Mountain Standard Time' with anytime zone from here:

    Well that was an embarrassingly simple fix... Thank you very much. I can't believe I missed that!!
