Power Automate Desktop - Get Files -File Filter not working without wildcard

Hello,

I'm having trouble with the Get Files action (File filter). It works if I use the *, but if I don't use it then it doesn't work.

I'm trying to filter to only grab the files with .xls (do not want to include .xlsx files)

Thanks

I guess that is because even the Windows manual search does the same - returns both types of files even when *.xls is mentioned in the Search box.

I know you might not want to use a loop but maybe an alternative would be to check the file extension within the loop and grab only the .xls ones.

    So, *.xls works, correct?

    Hello,

@Ahammad_Riyaz  I tried your suggestion, but it's still giving me the .xls and .xlsx files

    Hello @MichaelAnnis ,

*.xls gives me files with both .xls and .xlsx file extensions. I'm only looking for .xls files

    Hi,
To try it out, If action operator should be "Ends with" and the case-insensitive option should be true.

    Hello @kinuasa @Ahammad_Riyaz ,

Thank you both , the solution to use "ends with" worked for me, you both replied with a similar solution. I chose the correct answer as the one that was received first, but I appreciate the help from the both of you!
