Question: If I build an application and make it available externally as well as internally, do I just need to license external users via the cost of authenticated users? $200/month for 100 daily login sessions?
OR do I also need to include the external users into my internal per user app pricing ($10.u/m for one app)
ie: 100 Internal users + 100 External authenticated users for one app 10 * 100 + $200 = $1200 / month
OR 100 internal +100 external for one app $10 * $200 +$200 = $2200 / month ?
Thanks
1. The external users need not be included in the internal per user app pricing. For internal users they just need to have one of the Power Apps per app plan or the per user plan (see details here).
So doing the math for 100 internal users using the per app plan ($10/user/app/month) it will be 10 * $100
2. For external users if they'll be authenticating into the portal to use it then you need to buy the Power Apps portals login capacity add-on SKU only for your external users. So if you expect 100 logins then buy the SKU for 100 logins at $200 Unit Price
License Models for portals are explained in the FAQ here
