Saving attachment sent to Office 365 Group to a SharePoint Document Library

In the Office 365 Group, I am the Owner and Member. I want to create a Flow that will save attachments sent to the Group in a Sharepoint Document Library. This is easily done for a single user email account. But I am not finding any trigger for Office 365 group email. I know that you can do this manually by clicking the context menu of the attachment where the attachment is saved to the folder Email Attachments of the Document Library.

In fact, there should be setting in the O365 group to automatically save files to the Groups SharePoint site library.

    Hi @YatinMumbai ,

I afraid that your requirement couldn't be achieved within microsoft flow currently.

The trigger for new email of Office 365 outlook could only for user mailbox or a shared mailbox

The trigger for Office 365 group email is not supported in microsoft flow currently.

If you would like the trigger "When a new email arrives in a group email" to be supported in microsoft flow, you could submit an idea to flow idea forum:

There is a trigger for Group email's arrival. But I can't figure out how to get the attachment out of it. It doesn't have the same options as a regular email trigger.

    This is a biggest gap!

Sharing resources with SHAREpoint seems to be fundamental and so why creating a group email and not being able to use it automatically to share the attached files in an easy way?

    It's absurd!

    It's available now, refer: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/use-our-new-office-365-groups-mail-connector/

So, it's been a couple of years since this negative response, and now there is an Office Group trigger when a new email arrives. How do I get the attachments? The dynamic content does not show any.

Check out this template in Power Automate - Save attachments to a SharePoint when an email arrives to a Groups mailbox. Works for me!

    Hi there,

If I start from the suggested 'Save attachments to a SharePoint when an email arrives to a Groups mailbox' flow template and add in my group, it triggers when an email is recieved so the group is recognised and the trigger is being hit.  But it fails at the first 'get thread' saying there is none.  I hadn't even got to the point of changing out the sharepoint bits for SFTP bits and there's no 'attachment emailed to group saved to SFTP' flow I can start from.

finds a post in the new email but not a thread?finds a post in the new email but not a thread?

Presume you need to reference emails sent to a group in terms of posts and threads or something (preusme the template does work for a kick off?) but it seems to say that it doesn't find any in whatever data triggered the flow....  the raw data doesn't seem to look like a new email at all and can't see content from any of my test messages anywhere.  No idea what you can do with this, glad as I am that the new trigger exists I am at a loss as to how to get it to work in my own flow, or how to use a template it appears in to even perform its 'out of the box action' on a test group/sharepoint.

It also says that "The dynamic invocation request failed with error: { "status": 401, "message": "Unable to access the Folder in dataset https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/bapiconnectors. Ensure that you have the right Permissions.\r\nclientRequestId: 3aac1f04-ba81-4f78-b954-10280b101849\r\nserviceRequestId: f83d65a0-a0bf-0000-ec85-940ee658c1ed", "source": "https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/bapiconnectors/_api/web/GetFolderByServerRelativePath(decodedUrl=@p)?$expand=Folders,Files&@p='%2fteams%2fbapiconnectors'", "errors": }." when looking at the sharepoint component in the flow.

"https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/bapiconnectors" is also reported as "We are unable to find the site address. Please try selecting a site address from the dropdown."

No idea what any of this means and I'm not intending to look too far into it as don't want to do anything with sharepoint anyway but it's not generally looking like this flow works out of the box anymore.  Have I done something wrong with setting up the template or missed the instructions or something?

Might try this using a shared mailbox to see if it's any different but left a little at a loss at the moment, any thoughts appriciated.

    Kind regards,

    Oscar
