How to enable SSO in PowerApps Portals?

Hello Power Users,

I have been trying to configure SSO (Single Sign On) in my portals to ensure the users who hit the Portal URL should auto sign in if already an existing session is available. I could able to disable Local Sign on/ Registration and other options to sign in. This is my current my Login Page. I do not want my users to hit "Azure AD" to sign in, it should happen automatically.

P.S: my identity providers are only "Azure Active Directory" and it is been set as Default.

    Hi @krishnags ,

There is a site setting Authentication/Registration/LoginButtonAuthenticationType that allows you to point the standard sign-in button to the authentication provider by specifying the AuthenticationType of the provider. This will work only if you want your portal to have a single identity provider.  See more details here. Can you tell me how exactly you set Azure AD as default? If you were using a new interface system should populate this site setting automatically.

    Hi @OOlashyn,

thank you for your response. Yeah, Authentication/Registration/LoginButtonAuthenticationType is populated with a value https://login.windows.net/xxxxxxxx-0805-xxxx-9501-4629b7ecbf7f/

When my users hit https://xxxxxx.powerappsportals.com/, instead clicking on "Sign In"/ "Azure AD" button user should be automatically signed in.

@krishnags what you can do is to setup a Web Page Access Rule for your Home page with right Restrict Read and for Web Roles select authenticated users role. What this will do is restrict access to the home page only to authenticated users. Because of this restriction as soon as the user will open the home page he will be automatically redirected to signin page. And because you configured the default sign in it should redirect you to azure ad.

Hi @OOlashyn , this is amazing and working as expected and the explanation makes sense. Thank you.
