Create gzip file

Hi everyone

I'm looking at creating a flow that generates an XML file and then uploads this to a cloud storage location.  This is all fine but we now have a requirement that the file that is uploaded is a gzip file (.gz).  I've found information on how to zip a file in Power Automate but that's for a standard .zip file.

As far as I can see creating a gzip file in Power Automate just isn't possible but if anyone has any workarounds for doing this I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Bump. I'm also looking out for any connectors that can achieve gzip or bzip2

In the end we got this to work but we had to make use of Azure Data Factories.  The flow creates the XML file, then moves it to Azure blob storage.  We then had a Pipeline setup in ADF that gets the file metadata, renames it to include the .gzip extension and then moves this file to another Azure data store:

This second data store has gzip set as the compression type so the files are compressed with this format:

The flow then picks these files back up and transfers them to their final location using SFTP.
